The Teatre Principal de Palma will host the gala awards ceremony of the Ópera XXI awards, which this year will reach its fifth edition. These awards recognize up to 10 categories: best female, male and young singer; best musical direction, best stage direction; best lyrical repertoire initiative; best new opera production; best new Latin American production; best initiative to promote opera and honor awards.

Ópera XXI is the association that brings together 27 theaters, festivals and opera seasons throughout Spain, and works to promote opera in society. This year's gala, which will combine the awards ceremony with artistic performances, will be directed by Marta Pazos.
