Love, death and fantasy are the plot motifs of Giselle. Giselle and Loys love each other deeply, but he hides a great secret: dressed as a peasant, he hides his true identity: he is Duke Albrecht and is engaged to Bathilde. When Giselle discovers the betrayal, her weak heart fails with no turning back. The girl dies and joins the Willis, spirits of scorned women who died betrayed by their betrothed and who seek revenge, dancing the men who come their way until they die of exhaustion. Will Albrecht fall victim to the deadly dance?

Giselle is the quintessence of romantic ballet: a story where emotions are central, where there is tragic love, as well as real characters and worlds that are confused with fantastic ones such as cemeteries, forests and full moon nights. Unlike popular ballets that were nevertheless rejected at their premiere, Giselle triumphed from the very first performance, touching the hearts of the audience, both for its story, its music and its message. The present version by Luis Ortigoza, takes up the spirit of the original choreography, respecting tradition. The artist says that "the invitation is to come and see what love is capable of achieving from beyond".
